Kami Bush

Hospital Manager

My name is Kami Bush, I’ve been a Tech/Assistant since I was 18. I started shadowing here with Dr. Medlock and Dr. Waeltz at the age of 16, so coming to work here is like coming to my second home. Working with animals has always been my passion. At the age of 18 I moved to Denver for a year to attend Bel-Rea Institute to pursue Vet Technology and then returned home full time. I'm married to my husband Alan and we have two beautiful kids, Izzy and Noah who are animal lovers as well. We have plenty of fur-babies. We are partial to our Golden Retriever, Bassett Hound and Scottish Terrier. Love all our kitties too!

Ashley Brooking

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Ashley Brooking and I worked at Bedford Vet for 2 years. I have always enjoyed being around animals and taking care of them when they were sick or hurt. I went to Ball State for Pre-Vet/ Biology and graduated in May 2015. I married my husband Jacob in March 2017, and we have a Jack Russell named Strider and a cat named Eve. When not at work my hobbies include working outside and taking Strider on walks.

Caitlyn Brooking

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Caitlyn King. I have been a member of the Bedford Veterinary Medical Centre team since 2021. With a lifelong love for animals, I have always enjoyed working with and caring for pets. I love being able to help pets and the people who love them every day.

When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my family or taking care of our own pets. My husband, Kaleb, and I were married in May 2025, and we welcomed our son, Archer, in September 2025. Together, we share our home with three dogs and two cats.

Jessica Elkins Waeltz

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Jessica Waeltz. As the youngest daughter of retired veterinarian, Dr. Jim Waeltz, I grew up around the clinic and developed a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine and animal care at an early age.

I began working at Bedford Vet, officially, in September 2007 on a part-time basis and transitioned to full-time in February 2020, after realizing there is no other place I’d rather work. The clinic truly is my home away from home, knowing some of the employees since I was 7 years old.

I have a daughter named Aydin, who now gets to experience the clinic with me just as I did growing up. She hopes to be the next veterinarian in the family. We have a corgi named Rooster and 4 quarter horses; Cooper, Doc, Rowdy, and Dallas (I am hoping to add a few more horses to the herd, if my father allows it). When I am not at the clinic, you will find me at the barn or property, spending time outdoors with my animals and family, or riding motorcycles.

Alyssa Witherington

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Alyssa Witherington. I have had a passion for animals from a young age and always knew I wanted to become a veterinary assistant. I began my journey in 2017, working as both a grooming assistant and veterinary assistant while still in school. After graduating from high school in 2019, I continued pursuing my dream and have been working as a veterinary assistant at this clinic since 2025.

When I'm not at the clinic, you'll usually find me enjoying life on the farm with my boyfriend and family. I raise, train, and rehabilitate horses, with a focus on performance and rodeo horses. We compete in rodeos throughout the surrounding states during the year. I also own and operate my own equine massage and rehabilitation business, AW Equine Services.

I have several animals of my own, including my two dogs, Wrangler and Ariat, my cat, Duchess, and six horses.
